I'm glad that first project is over

Hi Class,

I only know have had a chance to open the blog and learn how to respond. It has been overwhelming working and trying to complete the project. I only wish I had read the blog
earlier. What a great idea setting everything out on the lawn. I will never ever use a pergola
and random blue stone again. UGH.....
I mailed my project on Sept. 10th. Fed Ex. I wanted to make sure it got there in time. It cost
$48.00 ouch. But I don't trust snail mail. It sometimes takes 10 days for my Mom to get a letter
in Missouri from Florida.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in October. Please be kind to me when I show you my
drawing. :)

I hope I'm in the 21st Century - Let me know if I did this wrong!

Hi All,
My first blogging as well so let's see how it goes!
I too had to mow down the dimensions in my back yard to figure out the true size of the project area. I've been staring out the window hoping I will get this done on time.
Was it just me or did Rob tell us to photocopy the paper design onto the vellum? I may have misunderstood.
I can see the importance of doing it from scratch as that is how we will approach it with our own customers. So it's on to a new vellum. I decided to keep this as simple as possible. Found myself stressing over so many details it was making me a little crazy.
A question for anyone who might remember - Rob said not to worry about the downspouts correct? I was trying to decide how to handle the rain pouring down onto a patio. Let me know if you recall this as well. If not I'll direct the question to Lauren. Good luck to everyone and see you in a few weeks!

project

i'm with you there Dee... just said the same thing to my husband! i not only have to do the stones in pencil, but then i have to do them in ink! i've already found two major flaws and, one is i had the couple walk out the door and have to dodge a bench 3 feet away!! numb from work i guess. i really need to put my thinking cap on.

i know you all will do a great job... let's be proud of our work; no embarrassments in october.

I'm connected!

Hi Gang,

This is my 1st blogging experience! Its time I joined the 21st century. I hope all your projects are going well. Every time I look at the calendar, I freak out a bit wondering if I will get to the stonework before the project has to go in the mail.
